I was born and raied in LeMars, IA.  I have been married for almost 35 years.  I have come to realize life is too short not to follow my dreams, so I took the plunge to be a full time artist.  I originally opened my home studio, the Art Den, in 1989.  The beauty that surrounds us here in the Midwest is something I strive to capture before they disappear.  My website is www.theartden.com and I offer workshops and classes.

In High School I took every art class they had and qualified for their advanced study course.  I entered school exhibitions and the county fair where I earned an Honorable Mention ribbon.  I studied art at Morningside College in Sioux City for a short time.  I took a distance course with the Art Institute in Minneapolis, MN, and finished that while having 2 children.  They are adults now and have given me 3 grandchildren so far.
